A story of courage: from periodontal disease to a completely new smile

Our patient, who has been living in England for 15 years, came to us facing a complex dental situation. Following oncological treatment, she developed periodontal disease, a condition that severely compromised her teeth. The affected teeth, which already had an older dental restoration, had become mobile, causing her major discomfort and a great deal of insecurity.

Wanting to find the best solution, she also sought other medical opinions, but she resonated most with our clinic’s approach. The consultation with Dr. Cazacu Corrado – Specialist in Dento-Alveolar Surgery, helped her clearly understand the treatment options and gave her the confidence she needed.

Although at first the thought of such an extensive procedure frightened her, the possibility of carrying out the procedures with the help of conscious sedation mattered enormously, giving her the assurance that everything would go smoothly and without pain.

At the same time, the information she found about the team’s experience and the results achieved by other patients convinced her to take this step.

Following the evaluation, the dental rehabilitation plan involved extracting the non-restorable teeth and placing 10 dental implants. To her surprise and delight, the post-operative period was completely free of pain or inflammation, with the patient describing the entire process as a stress-free experience.

For the mandible:

  • Fixed teeth on 4 standard implants (IV sedation without fear, PRF—accelerated healing, CT scan, post-operative kit, temporary restoration)
  • Bone grafting 3–5 units
  • Final restoration with ZIRCONIA teeth and a titanium framework on standard implants

For the maxilla:

  • Fixed teeth on 6 standard implants (IV sedation without fear, PRF—accelerated healing, CT scan, post-operative kit, temporary restoration)
  • 2 x sinus lift
  • Final restoration with ZIRCONIA teeth and a titanium framework on standard implants

Throughout the treatment, and after its completion, we ensured that she received full support from our team. Moreover, appointments were carefully coordinated so that her travel between England and Romania would be as simple and comfortable as possible.

The treatment was successfully completed in October, and 6 months later, the patient returned with a smile on her face for her routine professional cleaning. The pain-free experience gave her the confidence to recommend us to those close to her, sharing with us warmly:
